Letter to the Premier

To: Hon. Gordon Campbell, Premier
      Room 156
      Parliament Buildings
      Victoria, BC
      V8V 1X4

I,                                                 , a resident of the Province of British Columbia draw your attention to the

following:

- The Coastal Ferry Act was drafted and enacted with no public consultation process.

- Sections of Bill 18 are not representative of voter’s views regarding public service delivery.

- Bill 18 contains no section giving voice to Ferry Advisory groups wishing input into policy decisions.

- The government was not open and transparent to the intended direction and impact that Bill 18 would have on Ferry dependent communities.

Therefore, I call upon you as my elected representative, to demand the government to form a legislative committee to:

-Enter into open, public consultation process to evaluate the wishes of the electorate, regarding Bill 18, The Coastal Ferry Act and BC Ferry Services Inc.

-Amend Bill 18, based on the findings of the public consultation process.

-Reinstate the Coastal Council.

Sincerely,
